Welcome to my blog!

    My name is Angely Ortiz, and I was born in the Dominican Republic. I came to the United States at a young age—about 16 years ago—with big dreams and a strong desire to grow through hard work and education. While I didn’t pursue a long academic career, I did attend college and studied English as a second language, which helped me become fluent and confident in a new country.

 

   My journey began in the healthcare field—I first became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), then a Medical Assistant/Administrative. While working full-time, I also began studying to become a nurse, but life took me in a different direction (a story I’ll share in a future post).

 

Along the way, I started a food page on Instagram, sharing recipes and videos from my kitchen. It grew quickly and reminded me of a childhood dream: becoming a chef. So, I went for it—and earned my degree in Culinary Arts, officially becoming a professional chef and now I feel more confident sharing my recipes in my videos from @cocinaconsaborbyangie.

 

Shortly after, my husband and I opened our own spray foam insulation business, which we proudly run together. It’s become our main source of income, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be financially independent and to grow something of our own.

 

Real estate came into my life from a place of deep inspiration—buying our first home was one of the most meaningful moments for our family. Giving our children a place to call their own sparked a passion in me to help others experience that same joy and stability.
